Kiri's story

Kiri is from what remains of Japan in this world. She lives with her father and has led a fairly sheltered life. She is mayin, but very few people know that. Her father decided to keep it a secret when she was born, because he knew how many troubles she would have with the Mayinists if they found out about her.

She wants to get away from the house and learn to take full advantage of her mayin gift, but he won't let her. That is, until she comes up with a way to go out and learn without letting the Mayinists know that she's a female mayin.
