Saka is only non-human son of the Demon Lord. The Demon Lord has had many other children, all with human parents, but Saka is the only one in whom the non-human blood was dominant. He is the only child of the Demon Lord still alive today, and it makes him more or less the most powerful mortal on his plane. He is mortal, but only in the sense that he will die if you hurt him enough, and it takes quite a bit of power to hurt him in the first place.
Yes, Saka is very, very powerful. Saka is also quite tempermental and anti-social. As a highly powerful demon, he was born with one characteristic that clearly marks him as different, the fact that he will never look a day over twelve. He is fully mature in every way except that he still looks like a little kid, and he resents it very much.
He was a mature child, mostly because of the fact that he isn't human, and he hated being treated like a child when he was usually more rational than the adults surrounding him while he was growing up. Now that he is a few thousand years old and still looks like a twelve year old (either a girl or a particularly feminine boy), he is even less tolerant of being treated like a child. Because of that, he has a tendency to be cruel to those who underestimate him.
He has been a natural killer since his birth, when he first used what would later be his favorite killing technique to kill his human mother as he was born. He is drawn to pain, and one of his favorite relaxation techniques involves torturing small animals. Despite this, he has a very strict moral code of his own, and he will not kill outside of it. Of course, he is not a fool, and he doesn't feel he has to kill everyone who doesn't comply with his code either. In addition, his code seems to feature his own safety as the absolute most important thing in the world, followed very closely by the safety of his current lover.
Saka is homosexual. He has absolutely no interest in women, though he does have quite an active sex drive. Because of his appearance, he has a difficult time finding lovers who actually comply with his own desires in a man. He has no taste for pedophiles, so he rarely takes a lover who was attracted to him from the beginning.
Though he is quite fond of sex, Saka is also quite careful in who he sleeps with. All but one of his lovers have been human, and he has had his heart broken more than once with the death of a loved one. He only sleeps with men who he truly feels for, which only makes their deaths harder on him. Because of this, he never took many lovers.
Then, toward the end of the time that was called the "Saka Wars" (named that because the Demon Lord and one of the dark gods essentially declared war on Saka for a time), he met Rhua. Rhua is a sort of dark angel, the son of the same dark god and a human woman. He defected from his father's side to try and join Saka, only to get rejected several times. The reason he was trying was because he felt partially responsible for the incident that started the wars, the death of Saka's last lover, Thanus, at the hands of a lesser demon. Rhua had been filling in for a shinigami (death spirit) at the time, and was the one to collect Thanus's soul. Because of that, he felt responsible and wanted to make it up to Saka.
It took a lot of persistence, but Rhua eventually convinced Saka to let him join "his side," which consisted of the two of them after he joined. In the end, it was Rhua's efforts to soothe Saka, plus Saka's growing attraction to the young angel, that ended the war. After the war ended, the two of them decided to get together as a couple, and they have been so since (and that's a long time).
Saka does have one child, a daughter by the name of Evilee. She is the result of one of the comprimises that Saka was forced to endure after the war ended. Once Rhua's father realized that his son had defected to Saka's side, he was quite angry. As part of the post-war agreements, Rhua was turned into a female for an unspecified period of time. It would have been Saka, except that Rhua's father doesn't have quite enough clout to turn the Demon Lord's son into a female, and the Demon Lord just can't do that kind of thing. The condition on the transformation was that as soon as they produced a baby Rhua would turn back. So Saka was forced to sleep with the female Rhua, and Evilee was the result.
Saka is, deep down inside, fond of his daughter. But, at the same time, she is a constant reminder that he had to sleep with a woman, and that Rhua, who he eventually grew to love just as much as any of his other lovers, was forced to be something he isn't to produce her. Add to that the fact that she has a naturally happy personality and a love for making her smaller father's life a living nightmare, and it's quite understandable that Saka doesn't care to spend much time with his daughter.
In this day and age, Saka works as a video game developer. He was hired by some members of the company who actually beleive in the legends of the Demon Lord and still worship him, and thus believed Saka when he claimed to be old enough to be employable. He still has problems occasionally with the higher up people in the company, though. As he is more or less the least social member of his team at work and actually enjoys burying himself in his work (to an extent), he usually ends up having the majority of the work dumped on him. This does not help his naturally cranky disposition.
Saka has a temper. It fits in nicely with his hatred for most people and his love of killing. The best ways to spark his temper are to call him a child or a girl, or to hurt someone he cares about. When he loses his temper, he also loses control of his magic, to an extent, which causes his eyes to glow and his hair to float. It's a rather disturbing sight when combined with the evil aura that starts to radiate from him, and more than a few of victims have actually been killed by the fright, rather than by Saka himself. These incidents, by the way, tend to piss him off.
