ver 1.0 ~Rose Red~
7/02-9/02
features: Kurama from Yuu Yuu Hakusho
Well, this was the first layout of the site Obsessive Lemming. Yeah...there were one or two that technically came before it, but they were for a different page, by the name of My Little Page (with big hopes), and they sucked. This was the first layout I really liked, and I still drool over that pic of Kurama. It was also my first layout with a consistent color scheme.
ver 2.0a ~falling forever~
9/02-5/03
features: Zero Enna from Megami Kouhousei (Pilot Candidate in US), manga I think
This layout was an attempt to play around with iframes, and make the site rely on fewer frames than the previous one did. And that is what it did...though I could have just rewritten Rose Red to only have the scrolling part as a frame. I like this picture, though, and I even turned it into a wallpaper for Saichi...(and now Saka)
ver 2.0b ~hi..mi..tsu!
9/02-5/03
features: Sakura from Card Captor Sakura
And here is the small layout that ran at the same time as falling forever. This one is quite a bit different from it's larger counterpart, in that this one is happy and perky, and falling forever is...not. I like it, despite the pink, and I still think that that picture of Sakura is terribly cute.
ver 3.0a ~untitled~
5/03-9/03
features: Kirisawa Fuuko from Flame of Recca, manga
And here is the first of my massive site-wide Flame of Recca manga theme. I made 15 different layouts (well, different images, same basic layout) for this theme, and I enjoyed every minute of it. This was also the first (and most likely) only time I tried using a pop-up window for my layout. This particular one was for the larger pop-up. And I adore this picture of Fuuko...it's the wings. ^_^
ver 3.0b ~untitled~
5/03-9/03
features: Tsukishiro from Flame of Recca, manga
This is the smaller pop up version of the FoR theme. Tsukishiro, while terribly bishounen ^_^, is not really one of my favorite characters. But I like this pic of him...and he looks good in purple (I think).
ver 3.0c ~untitled~
5/03-9/03
features: Koganei Kaoru from Flame of Recca, manga
...and this is the non-Javascript version of the FoR theme. Unfortunately, I was an idiot and forgot to make any sort of background color for the part of the page that didn't have the background image...that and I made it just a little too big for the average 800x600 screen (without complete fullscreen). But, I still love Koganei, and almost all pics of him, so go genki chibi-fanged one!
ver 4.0a ~i want cat ears!~
9/03-2/04
features: Pudding from Tokyo Mew Mew, manga
This is the first non-frames version of my site, with the sole exception of the very first incarnations of My Little Page (with big hope) and Kev-chan's Music Place...back when I didn't know enough html to actually code the page on my own. I took the idea for this series of layouts from my newly acquired (at the time) livejournal...and then started scanning manga covers for images to use. Pudding is my favorite character in Tokyo Mew Mew...and her genkiness (as well as her color scheme), prompted me to make this rather bright layout. The title comes from the fact that she wants cat ears when she first sees Ichigo transform...and the fact that I wanted them at the time too (and got them, thanks to the proximity of Halloween).
ver 4.0b ~love me...~
9/03-2/04
features: Arima Soujiro from Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou, manga
This layout only existed because I thought that bright yellow might be a bit much for some people. I really don't like this image anywhere near as much as the Pudding one, though I really do like Arima. It's just...not as cool. And I couldn't get the menus to not overlap Arima's arm...which always bugged me.
ver 4.1a ~paranoia~
2/04-9/04
features: Son Goku from Gensoumaden Saiyuki
I found this picture floating around on Saka somewhere when searching out possible pictures for new layouts...and grabbed it. Then I recolored it slightly, giving it a brownish tint, and decided that it was really cool. So...I ended up choosing it for the main site, despite the fact that I originally wanted to use a picture of Shuuichi (that I didn't use because I couldn't get the menu to work the way I wanted it to). I like it, so far, but it hasn't been long...
ver 4.1b ~not a care in the world~
2/04-9/04
features: Puchiko from Digi Charat, manga I think...
Puchiko is adorable. That's really the only reason I had for picking this picture to make into a layout. I don't know why I decided to have two different version for the main page here either, since the Goku layout isn't horribly bright or anything. I guess I just wanted the kawaiiness of Puchiko. And as for the title...it just kinda popped into my head when I was looking at the picture.
ver 4.2 ~waking nightmare~
9/04-2/05
features: Uchiha Itachi from Naruto
^_^ I've loved Itachi since the first time I saw him, in the anime... He's cool looking, and has red eyes, which just adds to the coolness. I made a user pic for livejournal featuring him, and since then I decided that I needed to make a layout with him. And, to be honest...I'm not as thrilled about how this turned out as I thought I would be. By the way...the name comes from thinking of the attack Itachi has, where he uses his sharingan to put a person through days of torture just in the span of a short amount of time. Besides, it's better than the alternative...which was "sharingan" (original, ne?)
ver 4.3 ~don't even think it~
2/05-9/06
features: Uchiha Itachi from Naruto, fanart/doujin pic
So, the layout before this one wasn't all that good, even though I absolutely adored the source pic. This one, to contrast the coolness of the original, is a chibi pic. It's still Itachi, just chibi. And yes, it's a fanart/doujin pic. No, I don't know who drew it...and yes, I'm using it without permission. But it's so...cute! And by the way, this picture was originally supposed to be used for my journal when I changed all the other layouts, except that I never got around to making that one...
ver 4.4 ~(untitled)~
9/06-7/07
features: the main couple from Kankei wa Mada Lv 1
I have not read the manga that this image comes from. I plan to, since I've found Mishima Kazuhiko (the mangaka) to be quite amusing in general. I went on a buying spree for this artist after I got back from Japan in June, and this book came out of it. It's just...reading manga with no furigana takes time... But anyway, this image is gorgeous...so I had to use it in a layout. (And probably a future layout will feature a different image by this artist, from a different manga.)
ver 4.5 ~oyasumi...~
7/07-present
features: Hino and Ayukawa (the side couple) from Isso Mou, Kudokitai!
So since I put up the Kankei wa Mada Lv 1 image, I've become a completle and utter fan of Mishima Kazuhiko. Seriously, she's my favorite mangaka now. And Isso Mou, Kudokitai! is a fun little series. These two aren't the main characters of the manga, but a side couple, but they're still great. ^_^ This is the color image inside the book, with the cover going to the main boys.
